Script and documents
A project has one documents tree, shown in the editor’s sidebar. The script is pinned at the top; below it sit any reference documents you add. Everything on the following pages applies to every document — only a few things (scene links, the coverage strip) are script-only.
Kinds of document

The last three are described in Memory and instructions. A document’s kind comes from a card at its very top; the sidebar shows the kind next to the title.
Structure
Section titled “Structure”A document is an ordered list of blocks — paragraphs, headings, lists, quotes, code, dividers, images, galleries. Each block has a stable identity, which is what a scene link points at, what a suggestion targets, and what history diffs are computed on. There is no scene nesting inside a document: prose stays flat, and scenes are linked from blocks.
The header of a document shows its rollup: block count, how many blocks are linked to scenes, and an estimated spoken duration.
Organising the tree
Section titled “Organising the tree”Documents nest up to three levels deep. Drag a document in the sidebar to reorder it; drag sideways to nest it under a neighbour. Nesting is for organisation only — mentioning a parent does not pull in its children, and children stay independently mentionable. Deleting a document moves its children up to its parent; nothing is cascade-deleted.
