The editor at a glance

Open a project at screel.ai and you are in the editor. Four things live there:

• Scenes — the storyboard. Each scene has a still image, an optional animated clip, a caption (which doubles as its narration), a duration, and voice settings. Rendering composes the scenes into the finished video.
• Documents — the project’s script and any reference documents beside it: character sheets, brand notes, standing instructions, skills. See Script and documents.
• Manan — the assistant that works on the open project with you: writes and edits documents, builds scenes, generates media, renders. See Manan.
• Renders — every finished video, with download and share links.

Two rules hold everywhere in the editor:

1. Nothing generates on its own. Editing the script, linking a block to a scene, or changing a caption never triggers image, clip, or voiceover generation. Generation is always an explicit action (yours, or one you approved Manan to take).
2. One render per project at a time. Starting a render while one is queued or running returns the active render instead of starting a second one.
