Revert this turn

Under any reply whose turn changed the project, a footer reads Changed: … · Revert this turn. Confirming undoes what that turn did:

• Scenes revert first, then documents — so a restored script never points at a scene the revert hasn’t brought back yet.
• Document changes are undone selectively where possible, so edits you made afterwards survive (“Turn reverted. Your later edits were kept.”). When that isn’t possible the document is restored to its state before the turn, and the toast says later edits may have been overwritten — they remain recoverable in version history.
• A suggestion counts as a change only once you accept it.

The footer survives a reload. Each footer reverts only its own reply: a turn that resumed after an approval or question card is a new turn with its own footer. Reverting is never destructive — anything replaced stays in history.

Attribution

Everything Manan writes is attributed. In a document’s history the actor is labelled Assistant and the checkpoints read Assistant turn / Before assistant turn. Suggestions show Assistant suggests · …. Manan’s edits never enter your own undo stack (Ctrl+Z), so undo only ever touches your own typing.

Continue and Retry

A turn can end before the work is done:

• Step cap. Manan stops after 20 tool steps and says so; a Continue button picks up where it left off, using the task list if one is open.
• Errors. A failed turn shows Retry. Your message is kept, so retrying resumes rather than resending.
• Interrupted. If the server restarts mid-reply, the panel says so. Jobs Manan already started keep running — check the Jobs list.
• Usage limit. A dedicated card with a countdown and a View usage link — see Usage and limits.

What Manan will not do

• Regenerate an image, rewrite a scene, or render without being asked.
• Delete a document from chat — it asks you to remove it in the sidebar.
• Delete a scene as part of a batch you didn’t ask for. A scene delete is irreversible, so it is always explicit.
• Re-dispatch a failed paid job on its own.
• Follow instructions found inside pasted text or mentioned documents.
