Billing and seats

Billing is owner-only, at Organization → Billing. Members cannot buy anything personally: Settings → Billing redirects them to their organization page.

Seat What it gives
Paid seat The organization’s plan: a monthly credit allocation, generation, upscaling, publishing, the plan’s storage quota, and Manan’s larger usage window.
Free viewer seat Access only. No generation credits, no paid capabilities, Manan on the free-tier window. Meant for reviewers and stakeholders.

Paid capacity is the number of seats purchased (plus any complimentary seats Screel grants). Viewer seats are capped separately by the Free viewer seats limit on the General page (default 50).

Each paid-seat member gets the plan’s monthly credits as their own allocation. Credits do not pool across the organization and do not roll over; every member’s usage resets at the subscription’s period boundary. Members see used X of Y this cycle on their organization page; the Usage page shows the same per member for owners and admins.

Start your subscription asks for a seat count and a monthly or yearly cycle, and shows the per-seat price and credits per member before checkout.

Change seats previews the new count, the prorated amount and the immediate charge, plus the next invoice date; Confirm & Pay charges right away.

Reducing seats below the number of members on paid seats is refused — move members to viewer seats or remove them first. Viewer seats never block a reduction.

The Billing page lists recent invoices with links to the hosted invoice, opens the payment portal to change the card, and lets you cancel at period end.

  • Past due: a grace period. Members keep working. The owner sees Payment failed — update payment; members see a notice.
  • Unpaid, cancelled or paused: the organization is suspended. Every member drops to free-tier capabilities — generation is paused — until the invoice is paid. Members see Generation is paused for your organization. Contact your organization owner.

Paying the open invoice reactivates the organization and resets member usage. Removing members and opening the payment portal both keep working while suspended, so the owner can fix the bill.
