Screel in ChatGPT
The Screel app for ChatGPT lets ChatGPT act as your scriptwriter and producer: it breaks your idea into scenes, generates the visuals, and renders the finished video — while you watch progress in live cards inside the chat.
Connect your account
Section titled “Connect your account”- Add the Screel app in ChatGPT (or enable it from Settings → Apps & Connectors).
- When you first use it, ChatGPT shows a Connect card. Click it to open the Screel sign-in window.
- Sign in — or create a Screel account right there if you don’t have one yet.
- Approve the requested access and you’re returned to ChatGPT. The link stays active until you disconnect it.
Screel asks for two permissions:
- View your projects and videos (
screel.read) - Create content on your behalf (
screel.generate) — creating projects and scenes, generating images/clips/audio, and rendering. Generation spends credits from your Screel account.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”A typical request — “Make a 30-second video about deep-sea creatures” — runs the full pipeline:
- Create a project and add the whole scene script in one step.
- Generate an image for every scene.
- Optionally animate scenes into moving clips, and add voiceover and music. Scenes without a clip render as stills, so a stills-only video is a perfectly valid (and cheaper) result.
- Render the project and get a playable video right in the chat.
Along the way you’ll see:
- a storyboard widget with every scene, its image and audio, and live progress;
- job cards that track each generation with a preview when it finishes;
- a video player for the finished render, backed by a permanent link.
Use your own images
Section titled “Use your own images”Images from the conversation can go straight into scenes at no credit cost: drop a photo into the chat (or have ChatGPT generate one) and ask for it to be used in a scene. Screel attaches it as that scene’s still.
Costs and jobs
Section titled “Costs and jobs”Every generating action (images, clips, voiceover, music, renders, upscales) spends credits from your Screel account; ChatGPT can check your balance and quote per-action costs before spending. Long jobs run in the background — you can keep talking, ask for status, or cancel a queued job at any time.
Example prompts
Section titled “Example prompts”- “Create a 5-scene product teaser for my coffee brand, vertical format.”
- “Generate images for all scenes, then show me the storyboard.”
- “Animate scenes 1 and 5, add an energetic voiceover, and render it.”
- “Use the photo I just uploaded as the image for scene 2.”
Disconnecting
Section titled “Disconnecting”Remove the app from ChatGPT’s Apps & Connectors settings at any time; this revokes its access to your Screel account. Your projects and videos stay in your account and remain available at screel.ai.
